Journalist, publisher, media entrepreneur and creative storyteller embraces a new chapter in Nollywood with renewed passion for acting, scriptwriting and film production.

Respected journalist, publisher, media entrepreneur and humanitarian advocate, Adaobi Promise Enekwa, has officially become a full member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Lagos State Chapter, marking an important milestone in her lifelong passion for acting and filmmaking.

Although widely known for her work in journalism, publishing, public advocacy and media development, Adaobi describes acting as her first love, a passion she has nurtured for many years.

Having appeared in a few movie productions in the past, she is now returning to the screen with renewed determination and a clear vision of building a successful career in Nollywood.

Speaking on her official membership, Adaobi said:

“Acting has always been my first love. While journalism, publishing and media have given me a platform to inform, inspire and advocate for society, storytelling through film has always occupied a special place in my heart. Becoming a full member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria is not just another achievement, it is the beginning of a journey I have long prepared for.”

Beyond acting, Adaobi is also passionate about storytelling behind the camera. She has written and developed several original movie stories, scripts and character concepts, many of which she hopes to bring to life as a producer in the near future.

“As a scriptwriter, I enjoy creating stories that entertain, educate and inspire. My greatest dream is not only to act but also to produce meaningful films that reflect our culture, address societal issues and positively influence lives.”

Adaobi is the Publisher of Blissful Affairs Magazine, the driving force behind Oscar Bravo Productions Concept, Publisher of Brand Empire International Journal, Publisher of Her Impact Africa Journal, and Convener of the Voices of Our Society – Campaign Against Silent Killers. Through these platforms, she has remained committed to promoting impactful journalism, celebrating excellence, supporting humanitarian causes and advocating for positive social change.

Her admission into the Actors Guild of Nigeria represents more than a personal achievement, it reflects her commitment to using film as another powerful medium to educate, inspire and influence society positively.

As she embarks on this exciting chapter, Adaobi looks forward to collaborating with producers, directors, actors and other creative professionals while contributing meaningfully to the continued growth of Nigeria’s vibrant film industry.

With her experience in media, communication, scriptwriting and advocacy, she is optimistic that her journey into mainstream acting and film production will produce compelling stories that resonate with audiences across Nigeria, Africa and beyond.
