TETFUND opens plans to tackle insecurity in Higher Institutions

 

 

Respite will soon come the way of tertiary institutions in Nigeria as regards menace of in adequate security and power.

 

This good news is coming courtesy the chairman of the board of Trustee BOT, of the teritary education trustfund, Hon Aminu Masari.

 

Speaking at the two- day retreat organized by the National Assembly, with the theme ‘Challenges of Insecurity and Power in Higher Institution’ held recently. Hon Masari said, the new initiative was to create a new intervention line aimed at addressing issue of security and power in Nigeria tertary institutions.

 

According to Hon Masari, who was represented at the program by Abdulmumim Oniyangi, director of Public Affiars at TETFUND, he underscored educations pivotal role in the nation development and the urgent need to improve the funding of the sector.

 

“Education is the bedrock of national progress, and its funding must reflect its importance. We need to spark a national conversation about sustainable financing models that can ensure the future of higher education in Nigeria,” he emphasised.
