TAMPAN Summons Yomi Fabiyi For Producing Controversial Movie, “Oko Iyabo”

In a letter signed by Yemi Amodu, the director of research and documentation for Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), the association has summoned Nollywood actor, producer and director, Yomi Fabiyi for producing a movie titled “Oko Iyabo”.

Yomi is expected to appear before the association on Thursday 11th, July, 2021.

The letter read thus: “this invitation becomes very necessary because of the controversy that the subject matter of his film has generated which is against our ethic and virtue.

Despite that, we realized that the film has sparked off another round of dissension between TAMPAN and the public; this is unacceptable to us and unsuitable to what we represent.

We hereby, implore the general public and the parties concerned to please exercise patience as our eminent association is on top of this issue and will certainly ensure falmess and justice”.

We however, contacted Yomi Fabiyi this morning to hear his reaction about this latest development from the association but he’s yet to respond as of the time of filing this report. Stay glued to this page as we shall update you if any new information unfolds.
