DORCASGRACE COMMUNITY INITIATIVE is a duly registered NGO with headquarter in Ibadan, Oyo State. This Organization is born out of the desire to see a society getting rid of sexual and gender based violence against women and children; promoting a healthy lifestyle and foster empowerment of women and children in our society at large.

The management of the Ibadan, Oyo State based On Governmental Organization spoke on the reason behind the floating of the NGO.

According to the press statement made available to us, “Incidences of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) has assumed a dangerous dimension with particular reference to the dangers the secondary school students are exposed to on daily basis. This is due to their ignorance on what to do, where to go for complaints, how to go about it and most importantly the preventive measures to take in order to avoid sexual abuses in schools and other places.

It is in view of the above therefore that Dorcasgrace Community Initiative has taken it upon herself to sensitize the students in the Secondary schools in Oyo State about forms of sexual and Gender-Based Violence and preventive measures to be taken so avoid same. This NGO is fixed in a bid to eradicate or reducing incidences of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence is collaborative. An abused child needs the support of adults and systems who will protect her and believe her story. An abused child does not need you to judge her behavior or blame her for the abuse. We have a collective responsibility to set her on a path of healing. It starts by reporting cases of child abuse around you. Please contact Dorcasgrace Community Initiative.
