As Top Nollywood Movie Director, Okiki Afolayan Finally Relocated Abroad? That’s the question on the lips of the fans of the Popular Yoruba movie director, Okiki Afolayan, who is among the top movie directors dominating the Nigerian movie industry.
In May 2022, the Kwara State-born movie boss jetted to the United States of America with his beau, Bimbo Afolayan for vacation, and weeks after, precisely on 3rd June 2022, Bimbo put to bed a bouncing baby girl at Houston Methodist West Hospital, USA, making many of his fans believed that the purpose of their vacation in President Joe Biden’s country was for the safe delivery of the bouncing baby girl.
But it took the fans of the highly intelligent movie producer cum director by shock when Bimbo, Okiki and the new bundle of joy who were expected to return to Nigeria on July 25th couldn’t land at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
This is the reason many of his fans came to the conclusion that the director has finally relocated Abroad. Having heard this, www.naijasocietynews.com publisher, Gbolahan Adetayo did a thorough investigation on this claims where he actually got the true story about the matter.
As one of the top movie directors he is in the Yoruba movie industry, the information we gathered revealed that, Okiki actually left Nigeria to relax in America, not knowing that some of the TAMPAN movie producers in the states already piled up some movie scripts for him to direct.
Just three days after he got to USA, Okiki was forced to move from one location to another, making him to always have restless days and nights.
In May 26th, 2022, Okiki was at Indiana to direct a movie produced by Dammy Paul, featuring alot of Nollywood and Hollywood stars. A few days after, he stormed Texas for another movie production and since then, “Olowo Ori Oko Bimbo” as he’s fondly call by his friends, has been moving from one location to another.
When we spoke with him, Okiki Afolayan said, “relocating abroad at this juncture isn’t something realistic. I have my family, friends and business in Nigeria, why would I dump them and relocate abroad? It’s not possible. I came here with my lovely wife for vacation, unknowing to me, I have more than enough scripts waiting for me, I had no option than to do what I know how to do best. Along the line, my wife put to bed which I really blessed the name of God for adding to my family. No matter what, I can’t forget my producers, Marketers and fans in Nigeria because they made me who I am today. Without them, Okiki Afolayan is nobody. I value them more than anything on earth. No place like my home Nigeria. As we speak, I am already missing Nigeria. My bosses, I mean Marketers, Producers and Fans should expect Okiki Afolayan in their midst soonest”.
