Our Club should be listed on Stock Exchange Of Lagos State – Hon. Omisore

 

Social reformers club of Nigeria,a Lagos based socio- cultural group of professionals and technocrats founded 45 years ago in the Agege axis of Lagos State had their new year party and induction of new members at their club premises in grandstyle.
In his welcome address, the President of the Club, Chief Akanni Faloto,who many members referred to as new sheriff in town due to the drastic development he and his executive members have brought to the primer club, Faloto expresses his appreciation to the trustees of the club, members and his executives for their support during his tenure as the President of the prestigious Club, says “without you people I couldn’t have achieved so much in the history of our dear club”, given thanks to almighty God for his ability to fulfilled all his campaign promises.
He said that during his tenure, he made accountability and disciplined his watchword, expressing his delight on how members paid their dues and promises. He further said, he makes sure that the idea that club is levellers is strongly upheld in the club so far you are a member irrespective of your status in the society, once you step into the club all are equal. Faloto says that this brought oneness, love, and peace among members.
President Faloto equally mentioned the revival of Wives Asun night, which usually brings members’ wives together. He was so happy to mention this. Members’ birthdays were celebrated while others supported the celebrant to show love among ourselves,Faloto mentioned, while welfare of the club members is very paramount.
He enumerated several projects done by his administration which are gigantic in the history of the 45years old club even though he agreed that his regime met some projects on ground while urges the incoming administration to build on the existing projects so as to take the club to the greater heights.
Faloto did not forget to mention the membership drive during his tenure. He was made the gathering to understand that a lot of competent professionals and technocrats joined the club as members.
He further urged the members to elect a new executive who can improve on the already achievement made by his regime while thanked the five experienced trustees who are supervisory authority of the club.
The new year party and induction of the new members was chaired by Alhaji Samisdeen Akanni Sule, a real estate guru, who could not hide his happiness for making him chairman of the occasion, he prayed for the growth of the social reformers club of Nigeria.
Three of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the executive governor of Lagos State cabinet members, were in attendance. They are Olayinka Adekunle,S.A. on Works, commissioner of establishment and training, and Commissioner for special duties Mr.Gbenga Oyerinde.They all spoke glowingly of social reformers club of Nigeria.
While one of the pillars and strong trustees of the club, Hon. Ahmed Ipoola Omisore,a two term member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, charged the Lagos State Government to list social reformers club of Nigeria on the stock exchange of Lagos, claiming that the calibre of members are movers and shakers of the society, and this will enable members to contribute more to the THEME+agenda of Mr. Governor.
Those in attendance were Engr. J.O. Adegbamiye, Barrister Dele Ajikanju,Hon. Ahmed Ipoola Omisore, The Royal Fathers, Oba Yekini Azeez, Vice President of the club, Mr. Wasiu Adegbite, chief Bayo Bamigbopa, Barrister Dele Babalola, a legal luminary, Adedayo Omotuyi, indomitable Secretary of the Club, Baale Omololu Pedro,Barrister Rotimi Alade and wife, Dr.Dayo Folorunso, Arch. Taiwo Komolafe, a prominent Lagos based survivor and socialite, Taiwo David Olaniyi, HRH Azeez Bolaru, Chief Ayo Randle, immediate Past President of Ikeja Club, among, many other guests and new inductees which includes an educationist, Omoniyi Olowe, Yusuf Abiodun and others.
Truly, the occasion testify to their ‘motto,’ which says, ‘Truly, We Shall Never Be Tired.’
