Kwara Hosts North Central National Values Charter Debate, Unilorin Emerges North-Central Champion

 

The 7 for 7 National Values Charter Campus Debate, powered by the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in the implementation of the National Identity Project(NIP), took place on November 28 at Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.

University of Ilorin clinched the North-Central championship title, winning ₦5 million and advancing to the grand finale, while Kwara State Polytechnic earned ₦2 million as runner-up.

The debate and accompanying capacity-building sessions emphasised patriotism, leadership, and national unity, with expert facilitators like Oluseye Taiwo Adepoju and Dr. Adebusola Ogunmodede.

This initiative aims to inspire Nigerian youth to embrace civic responsibility and national values, striking the balance between government promises and citizens’ responsibilities, Tolu Meduna the programme coordinator stated.
