Lagos-based philanthropist and businesswoman, Hajia OJ Awa-Ibraheem, celebrated her birthday in a remarkable fashion on Saturday, July 5, 2025, by giving back to the community through a free medical outreach and charitable distribution organized by her NGO, Hasbunallah Islamic Foundation.
The humanitarian event took place at Anwar-ul-Islam High School, Oniwaya Road, Dopemu, in the heart of Agege, Lagos State, and was attended by hundreds of residents who benefited from the various services and gifts.
The program began with an opening prayer offered by a respected Islamic cleric, setting the tone for the day’s activities. Participants were then attended to by a team of professional doctors and pharmacists who provided free medical checkups, consultations, and medications to members of the community.
Hajia Awa-Ibraheem, who arrived midway into the event, was warmly received with a heartfelt rendition of the “Happy Birthday” song from participants, accompanied by prayers and well-wishes. The moment moved her deeply as she expressed gratitude for the love and support shown by the community.
Following the medical outreach, her foundation distributed cartons containing food items, household essentials, and cash gifts to all attendees, an act that drew smiles and appreciation from the beneficiaries.
Speaking briefly at the event, Hajia Awa-Ibraheem reiterated her commitment to serving humanity and supporting vulnerable groups, especially women and children, through her foundation’s various empowerment programs.
“This is not just a birthday celebration, it is a moment to reflect and give thanks by extending support to others. I pray Allah continues to strengthen us to do more for our people,” she said.
Community leaders, religious figures, and local residents commended the initiative, describing it as a generous and thoughtful way to celebrate a new year in life.
Hasbunallah Islamic Foundation has been actively and silently involved in grassroots empowerment, education, and healthcare support across several Lagos communities, and Saturday’s event is yet another testament to its founder’s unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes.
