The family and friends of Mr. Tayo Tobi Akingbesote have raised the alarm over the theft of his 2006 model Toyota Camry, calling on members of the public and security agencies to assist in tracking down the stolen vehicle.
According to a statement made available to journalists by the Publisher of BethNews Media, Mr. Oluwaseun Fabiyi, the incident occurred on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at about 4:00 p.m. at Mr. Akingbesote’s residence located at No. 177, Awoyokun Bus Stop, between Onipanu and Palmgrove, along Ikorodu Road, Lagos State.
The stolen vehicle is a silver-coloured Toyota Camry with chassis number 4T1BE32K06U106634 and engine number 2AZ8262342.
The owner and members of his family were said to have been thrown into shock and disbelief when they discovered that the vehicle had been stolen.
The matter has since been reported to the Nigeria Police Force at the Ilupeju Division, Lagos, where investigations have commenced. Relevant documents relating to the vehicle have also been submitted to the investigating officer handling the case.
Consequently, the public has been urged to be vigilant and report any suspicious vehicle matching the description to the nearest police station or other relevant security agencies.

The family appealed to members of the public to assist in ensuring that the perpetrators are brought to justice and the stolen vehicle recovered.
