EFCC Recovers 40 Phones, 17 Laptops, 6 Cars From Internet Fraudsters in Imo State

THE Port Harcourt Zone of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested 20 suspected Internet fraudsters.

The suspects, according to a statement by the Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, were apprehended on Friday at New Owerri, Emenike estate, Norble Abode, in Imo State.

The suspects were identified as Onyebuchi Victor, Isreal Victor, Emeka Clinton, Stanley Uche, Onyemachi Stanley, Ikechukwu Agbalieze, Franklin Ugoegbu, Nze Collins, Nwokoro Santus and Agocha Johnson.

Others are Oscar Anumata, Emeka Nkeoga, Ogwuchukwu Akagha Marvis, Victor Obioha, Charles Onymesi, Awunnaya Victor, Henry Stephni, Jerrard Uwaima, Franklin Uzoma and Obidike Abuchi

The statement read partly, “Items recovered from them are 40 mobile phones, 17 laptops of different brands and six vehicles; one blue-coloured Toyota Corolla car, one black-coloured Acura ZX car and one ash-coloured Lexus GX 460 Sports Utility Vehicle, one green-coloured Venza car, one black-coloured Mercedes Benz car and one ash-coloured Lexus 330 SUV.”

The anti-graft agency vowed to continue to intensify its manhunt for fraudsters no matter where they hide in the country.
