… Killers will face divine Judgement

As tension mounts ahead of the August 15 Osun State gubernatorial election, prominent Lagos-based cleric Prophet Oladele Israel Ogundipe, popularly known as Prophet Genesis, has strongly condemned the wave of unnecessary killings and violence sweeping through Osogbo, Esa Oke and surrounding communities
Speaking through his media aide, Oluwaseun Fabiyi, on July 28, 2026, the man of God expressed deep concern over the persistent mayhem, becoming one of the prominent spiritual voices to openly speak out while others remain silent.
Prophet Genesis questioned the morality of politicians and their supporters who place political ambitions above the sanctity of human life.
”Elections will come and go, but human life remains sacred,” Prophet Genesis stated.
“Why should anyone resort to violence and bloodshed for political gain? This is not the first election in Osun State, nor will it be the last. No political ambition is worth the life of any citizen.”
Drawing from biblical scripture, Prophet Genesis referenced the story of Cain and Abel, reminding those involved in political thuggery and targeted attacks that severe consequences await anyone who spills innocent blood. He emphasized that God, the creator of life, gives no authorization to any human being to terminate another’s existence, warning that every individual will ultimately account for their deeds before God.
Concluding his message, Prophet Genesis appealed directly to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Inspector-General of Police, and heads of all security agencies to take immediate action to restore order, rein in political thugs, and guarantee peace before, during, and after the upcoming polls.
He reiterated that Osun State has long been known as a haven of peace and unity, praying for national stability, oneness, and the safe protection of all citizens across Nigeria.
