The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Area, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe is concluding his first tenure in grand style, commissioning seven roads and donating vehicles to strategic community organisations.
Vehicles were presented to Kosofe chapters of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), League of Imams and Alfas, Community Development Committee (CDC), Area H Police Command, and four Police Divisions. Pastor Ogboro Olugbenga Samuel JP represented CAN, Alhaji Modiu Olundegun represented the League of Imams and Alfas, whilst Hon Segun Babatunde, Oluomo Jamiu Talabi, and Engr Kuku represented CDC. ACP D R Odutona received the vehicle on behalf of Area H Police Command, with four DPOs representing their respective divisions.
The commissioned roads include:
• Olayiwola Owoiya Street, Oworonsoki
• Ibrahim Onasokun Street, Ifako
• Obazur Street, Ifako
• Paul Odulaja Avenue, Ifako
• Epetedo Road, Ogudu
• Taiwo Lane, Ogudu
• Roju Avenue, Ojota
The ceremony’s highlight occurred at Taiwo Lane, witnessing government presence for the first time in five decades. Octogenarian resident Mrs Folohunso Adebena was honoured to cut the commissioning tape, dancing joyfully whilst offering prayers for the chairman’s continued service to Kosofe residents.
These initiatives align with President Tinubu’s grassroots policies and Governor Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES+ Agenda, demonstrating collaborative governance principles.
