Our attention has been drawn to mischievous information circulated on the social media by some lazy and rumour mongers that our highly respected and humble royal father, Oba Kolawole Sowemimo, Olu of Owode-Egba has been suspended for three months and also told not to parade himself as oba for three months.
What happened that Oba Sowemimo was summoned by the Egba council of obas on how he sprayed money on K1 during his 13 years on the throne anniversary.
During the Egba council of obas, Oba Sowemimo was summoned and pleaded, his plead was accepted and he was given just two months suspension against the three months been speculated on the social media.
We are saying categorically that Olu of Owode-Egba was not suspended for three months but just two months.
We also using this opportunity to let the members of the public know that Oba Sowemimo has great respect for Egba council of obas and he also plead mercy. ‘ Yes, Im very sorry on how I spent money on K1 during my coronation, Im beging all that concerned to forgive me such would never repeat itself again’.
