Rising Nigerian music star Ayomide Olamide, popularly known as World Famous, called on Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to create safeguards for emerging artists vulnerable to exploitation by dubious promoters. World Famous, known for his hit song “Meh Meh Meh”, shared his message during a lively hangout with fans and friends on Sunday, aimed at strengthening his fan base and building unity among music lovers.
The event, held at CareerMega Bar in the Alagbado area of Lagos, showcased World Famous performing his hit tracks and entertaining his audience with an interactive session. The artist explained that his goal went beyond music; he aimed to establish an open, supportive network for upcoming artists to avoid negative influences in the industry. “I have a dream that one day, the government will create opportunities for upcoming artists, so they won’t fall into the trap of exploitative promoters,” he expressed.
The event drew a crowd of fans, celebrities, and influencers, thanks to Prince Christopher Gold, CEO of Life Compass Travel & Tours. Gold, who organized World Famous’ tour in Ghana in 2022, pledged to make this an annual gathering to promote a positive space for emerging artists to showcase their talents.
Known also by his fans as Akeweje Quibla, World Famous is an Afro hip-hop artist building a strong social media presence. He promised to share the lyrics of *Meh Meh Meh* on his social media channels, giving his new admirers a chance to engage with his music ahead of an upcoming video shoot, which he hopes will leave a lasting impression and strengthen the bond with his fans worldwide.
