In her 2021 edition of AVIA Africa kids’ fashion contest, Avia Luxuries is set to crown the most fashionable kid in Africa. The contest is called “Why my mum is the best mum in the world”.
An official press statement made available to us by the organizers of the event revealed in details the reason every African child between age 4 to 12 must participate in the contest like no others in Africa.
According to her, “we are doing this to awaken the minds of some of our parents on how good they can make their kids look. Looking good isn’t only for adults. Asides that, there are lots of parents out there who rock designers on the media and everywhere they go, and buy extremely cheap and overused bend down selects (Okrika) for their kids. Why? Because they are kids and they don’t know how they look. Avia Luxuries is of the opinion that every kid in Africa matters and deserves to be treated as such. Our Kids are like our mirrors. Some can see us through them. So it’s important that you pay attention to how they look, because if your mirror has errors, it definitely would affect the reflection and your image. When they later become all grown, they won’t forget how beautiful you made them look, seeing the throwback of their pictures. There is a part of the competition that is about a short Essay “Why my mum is the best Mum in the world” this is the aspect where the kids in return, finds a reason to commend and celebrate their mum too. And to also put the kids’ brilliancy in check. Aside all these, there are some kids that have features and potentials of a fashionista. So we tend to catch them young through this and celebrate them . All for the love and celebration of African kids. How to participate is very easy. A date with the the CEO Avialuxuries and Bukunmi Oluwasina on Children’s Day. 1st runner up gets N100,000, an award, a date with the CEO and Bukunmi Oluwasina on children’s Day. 2nd runner up N50,000, an award, date with the CEO, and Bukunmi Oluwasina On children’s Day.
