TAMPAN Pioneer President, Yemi Solade Joins Saidi Balogun’s Association TGMAN, Reveals Why He Made The Move

One of the dynamic actors rocking the Nigerian movie Industry, Agbaakin Yemi Solade has rubbished the rumour making the rounds in the movie industry that he has dumped the Theater Arts And Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) for The Golden Movie Ambassadors of Nigeria (TGMAN).

Yesterday, www.naijasocietynews.com publisher, Gbolahan Adetayo was informed that the founding cum pioneer president of TAMPAN has finally shunned the association to follow TGMAN, an association founded by a fellow actor, Saidi Balogun in 2014.

Having heard this, Gbolahan Adetayo however had a brief chat with the actor to know the reason behind the move.

According to him, “No, I didn’t leave TAMPAN. I can’t leave what I created. What I just did is adding TGMAN to the other professional bodies I am as a member. I belong to NANTAP, AGN, TAMPAN, AVRS. I was the FOUNDING/PIONEER PRESIDENT of TAMPAN and I can’t leave my baby. I am “BABA ĘLĘGBĘ RĘPĘTĘ” I belong to several associations. I remember the first TAMPAN general meeting that was held at the Cultural Center, Mokola, Ibadan, Oyo State, on the 19th of March 2014, It was a massive turnout, and the last meeting I had as a PRESIDENT was on the 18th of September 2014 in Abeokuta, Ogun State. So, it is not possible for me to leave the association. I know many of my colleagues would have been wondering what’s happening with me adding TGMAN to my list of associations but that’s just how I want it”, he said.
