“Stop Praising Public Office Holders For Doing Their Jobs”- Lagos Business man Yusuf Babalola Tell Nigerians

Top Lagos Socialite cum business man, Yusuf Babalola better known as Amuda Yusuf, has advised his fellow Nigerians to stop celebrating public office holders after executing a project in the society.

The popular Lagos Business mogul, who is the Chairman of Yozooph Group made this statement in a short interview with Gbolahan Adetayo, who asked him about his views concerning the hardship currently experiencing by Nigerians.

In his response, the Abeokuta, Ogun State born Babalola said, “It’s sad the way Nigerians are being killed in all regions of the country, it’s so alarming and heartbreaking.

“it shows our weakness. What we need is regional autonomy, all regions can manage themselves independently, they can manage their resources and their security.

“It’s a good way foward. The current system of government has failed for decades, we can’t continue to turn deaf hears, we need to rise up as citizens to advocate for what we want, it’s our fundamental human right. Take United Kingdom for instance, Britain, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland as good examples.

“What we need is a government that will insert referendum in to the constitution, the referendum will create a chance to change the constitution. What the masses want is most important than that of the few political office holders, we put them there and so they must do what we want.

“The politicians in public offices don’t respect the constitution, rather they respect the ogas at the top, so it is easy for IGP to withdraw a governor’s securities without following the constitutional process, now its clear that all states governors are the chief security of their respective states.

“The people stealing from the treasury are just few in numbers, but the CBN governor prefer to deny the citizens access to spend their hard earned money abroad using their bank cards, they restricted spending limit on debit cards to 200/300 dollar a month, however the citizens resolved to keep their money on bitcoin but yet get frustrated by the same small number of corrupt government.

“How difficult is it to introduce a capital punishment to take care of their corrupt practises? A capital punishment for anyone who steals government money is a good way to tackle corruption, but the government will never do it because they are all corrupt.

“Buhari was fast to introduce a 15 years jail sentence to any victim who pay ransome to kidnappers but has failed to introduce same law to the corrupt government officials, how difficult is that?

“Can we as citizens of Nigeria stop thanking government officials for doing their jobs, the money they spend on those projects are from the money generated from our taxes, so why do we celebrate them as heroes whenever they spend our money on our projects? It’s uncalled for and we must stop it. I wish all Muslims a fun filled and blessed Eid celebration “, he said.
