Sad: Covid-19 Kills Wema Bank’s Topshot

One of the staffers of Wema Bank who worked as a manager in one of it’s branches has reportedly died of Covid-19 complications.

The deceased, Abiola Antonio Afolayan, aged 42, was a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and had worked with Stanbic IBTC before his eventual move to Wema Bank, where he worked for years, until his death was reported on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.

A dedicated staff of the bank, Biola as he was fondly called by friends, died at the Yaba, Lagos based Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH),

Friends, colleagues and family members, who knew Late Biola as a jolly good fellow, and had interacted with him freely before his sudden complication, which eventually led to his death, have been worried.

According to Facebook friends of the deceased, he would be missed by many for his warm and dependable nature, because he was loved by many.
