Revealed! How Popular Bursty Nollywood Actress Survived Breast Cancer After N15m Surgery Battle

Nollywood actress, Temitope Osoba, has opened up about her emotional and inspiring battle with breast cancer, urging women to prioritize their health through regular checkups.

The talented actress revealed that her journey began in 2023 when she discovered a small bean-like lump in her breast during a self-examination. Although her doctor initially assured her it was nothing serious due to the fact that she had not given birth or breastfed, the lump continued to grow, causing her great concern.

According to Temitope, she later confided in her aunty who advised her to go for further tests. At the General Hospital in Sagamu, a biopsy was carried out and traces of cancer were detected. Out of fear, her aunty hid the truth from her for six months, worried about how she would react.

Eventually, Temitope discovered the truth and was told she had to undergo a series of tests to check whether the cancer had spread. Doctors warned her not to get pregnant for the next five years due to the medications she would be placed on, an emotional blow for the actress who was already 38 years old at the time.

After a CT scan, doctors confirmed the cancer had not spread to other parts of her body but insisted on a second surgery to remove leftover particles. The surgery came with a staggering bill of N15 million, which she could not afford.

Thankfully, her family members rallied around her, and with the support of Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola, who launched an online fundraiser, well-meaning Nigerians came to her rescue.

Today, Temitope Osoba joyfully declared that she is cancer-free, expressing gratitude to God, her family, colleagues, and fans who stood by her through the difficult journey.

Her story is not just one of survival but also a powerful reminder for women to take breast health seriously. “Breast cancer is not a function of age,” she emphasized, recalling how she once met a 15-year-old girl who had six lumps removed.

Temitope’s testimony is a beacon of hope to many women battling similar health challenges, proving that early detection, faith, and support can lead to victory.
