It’s a new dawn for the people of Oro Kingdom, as Canada-based cultural promoter, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye, has been appointed the new Oloro of Oro Kingdom.
The Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (CON), presented the staff of office to the new Oloro on Sunday, October 27. The ceremony, held at the Deputy Governor’s Conference Room, was presided over by the Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi.
During the event, the Governor urged the newly appointed monarch to lead with compassion, integrity, and fairness. He also called on the people of Oro Kingdom to support Oba Joel Oyatoye Olaniyi in building a more prosperous community.
In celebration, popular on-air personality and Assistant General Manager of Fresh FM Lagos, Ambassador Yomi Mate, also known as Ifankalleluyah, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the esteemed monarch. Speaking about the new Oloro’s appointment, Ifankalleluyah, former Lagos Chairman of the Independent Presenters Association, said, “I congratulate the good people of Oro Kingdom on the emergence of our new Kabiyeesi, Oba Joel Oyatoye Olaniyi, fondly known as Baba Asa. This marks a positive milestone for the entire people of Oro Kingdom and Kwara State as a whole.”
He continued, “The selection of the new Oloro is truly fitting. I have no doubt that Kabiyeesi Oba Joel Oyatoye Olaniyi will usher in tremendous progress for Oro Kingdom, given his unwavering dedication to his people.”
In closing, Ifankalleluyah shared his blessings, saying, “Congratulations once again to Kabiyeesi. Kade pe lori, ki bata pe lese, ki irukere di oginni. May your reign bring peace and joy to us all.”
