On Tuesday 10th February 2026, Lagos state marked Legion veterans Day 2026. The celebrations took place at Lagos state multiple Agency complex Hall opposite Arena, Bolade oshodi Lagos state.
As part of the legion veterans Day Governor Sanwoo-lu Aide ;Hon Akeem Ayodeji Amodu Ejalonibu, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sanwo-olu on housing was honoured as a Colonel of the Nigeria legion Lagos state council.
Ejalonibu an advocate of Peace and Peace Ambassador since 2008 , an Honour conferred on him since 2014 by The Universal Peace Federation of the United Nations Ejalonibu is an Astute Administrator Par Excellence ; A political Scientist and Security Analyst who believes in Security and Social Development for the state and Nigeria as a whole. A man of many paths,whose roots were associated with security and Security Architecture as his both Parents;father and mother were retired senior police officers who contributed to our security network in Lagos state.
The chairman commandant Nigeria legion council Lagos DCG Wolimoh Akeem Olawale BSC Msc Fmicss fmisn has pledge to support the government efforts on security of Lagos state citizens. He on behalf gave out relief materials to widows of the legion.
