Dreamfo International Announces Widows & Widowers Conference 2023 Edition: “Putting the Pieces Together”

Dr. Olusegun Emmanuel Afolabi Memorial Foundation, known as Dreamfo International, a leading Nigerian non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities and facilitating sustainable development for widows and widowers, is once again organizing its annual Widows & Widowers Conference in Ibadan, Oyo State. This year’s conference, themed “Putting the Pieces Together,” aims to impact lives and promote togetherness, featuring exclusive interactions with people from society and Nigeria as a whole. The founder, Mrs. Olubunmi Ojo Afolabi, along with her dedicated team, shared details of the conference with her media aide, Oluwaseun Fabiyi, during a phone conversation lasting over 30 minutes. They discussed the strategies for making this year’s conference a success, emphasizing the organization’s core areas of focus, including education and healthcare, and showcasing valuable resources and initiatives. Dreamfo is a well-known household name in Nigeria and overseas, standing out among other non-profitable NGOs. A few years ago, a similar conference was held in Delta State in the eastern part of the country, where over 2,000 widows and widowers participated, with many benefiting from empowerment programs and receiving gift items. The conference gained significant attention and generated numerous positive testimonials from beneficiaries, effectively informing stakeholders and partners about the work of the DREAMFO Foundation. This year’s conference aims to surpass all previous limitations, with dignitaries expected to attend from the UK and other countries. As part of Dreamfo’s growth and expansion strategies, the Foundation focuses on four key pillars: health, education, community development, and empowering widows and widowers in society through technology. Nigerian speakers will also be featured at the conference, with strict security measures in place. Free accommodation and meals will be provided primarily for widows and widowers participating in the three-day event, which is scheduled to take place from Friday, June 23rd, to Sunday, June 25th, 2023, at the Koltotel Hotel & Suite in Ikolaba, GRA, Ibadan, Oyo State.”
