Delta State Gears Up For 2024 Christmas In Delta

 

 

The electrifying Christmas in Delta festival is back for a second round, and it’s bigger, bolder, and brimming with magic!

 

The organizers have officially announced that the 45-day holiday extravaganza will kick off on December 1, 2024, and run through January 14, 2025, transforming Delta State into Nigeria’s ultimate Christmas wonderland.

Launched to rave reviews in 2023, the festival enchanted thousands, firmly placing Delta on the map as a holiday hotspot. This year, the festival promises to draw over a million visitors ready to bask in festive cheer, thrilling entertainment, and cultural showcases like no other!

 

And the masterminds behind it all? None other than the legendary Omu Resort, famous for bringing dreams to life through epic theme parks and unforgettable entertainment. They’re set to work their magic again, starting with a magnificent Christmas light-up ceremony at the enchanting Christmas Village in Asaba. The lights will sparkle even brighter with Delta State Governor, His Excellency Sheriff Oborevwori, in attendance, setting the perfect tone for a season filled with joy and wonder.

 

Visitors can expect an incredible lineup of events including a friendly soccer match with Super Eagles stars from Delta facing off against Nollywood legends in a thrilling showdown, an inspiring Asaba Art Exhibition, and a heart-pounding Car Drifting Show starring Nigeria’s top drifters.

 

December 22 will bring the vibrant Warri City Carnival, followed by the soul-stirring Warri Christmas Experience, complete with the moving Shekere Praise & Worship on December 24. For the grand finale, a breathtaking, synchronized Delta Fireworks Display Night, lighting up all corners of Delta State in a dazzling celebration of unity, joy, and the holiday spirit. The fireworks will be accompanied by a high-energy DJ Rave and the Osubi End-of-Year Concert, creating a pulse-pounding climax to an epic festival!

 

According to Daniel Eguyenga, the event’s spokesperson, this year’s edition will be packed with even more excitement, thanks to the introduction of fresh attractions like thrilling car and bike displays, as well as an expanded sports lineup. “We’re bringing new energy and unforgettable experiences to make this year’s festival our best yet,” Eguyenga said.

 

This year’s schedule is packed with events in Warri as well, where The Warri Experience will offer a gospel concert and the first-ever Warri Festival, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Delta’s diverse ethnic groups. And, of course, the awe-inspiring African Christmas tree, the tallest on the continent returns to dazzle audiences and set the stage for yet another magical Christmas in Delta.
