It was all joy and celebration on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Cornerstone Compound, Surulere Avenue, Papalanto, Ogun State, as Cornerstone Films International marked its 30th anniversary of active gospel filmmaking in Nigeria.

The producers of Olopa Okunkun and Irora Agbelebu are recognized as pioneering forces in gospel filmmaking, celebrating a significant milestone of producing and distributing life-changing Christian content. Since its inception in 1994, Cornerstone Films has remained steadfast in its mission to spread the gospel through the powerful medium of film.

“We have produced over 50 films, reaching millions of people worldwide and touching lives across diverse cultures and communities over the past three decades,” said Evangelist Abraham Olorunnimilo Aanuyimika, President of Cornerstone Films.

He further highlighted the ministry’s impact, saying, “We have played a vital role in evangelism, presenting the gospel message to the unreached; discipleship, equipping believers for spiritual growth; and supporting church growth and pastors.”

Notably, Cornerstone Films produced the second Nigerian Christian film, Osu won Aye, which was instrumental in pioneering the first Gospel Christian Drama Forum (EFDAN). The ministry also became the first to depict the story of Jesus on the cross in a major Nigerian language (Yoruba), with the film Irora Agbelebu, distributed free to over 30,000 people across Nigeria, Africa, and beyond. Other films like Eleri Metta, Enibaleti, and Ilu Agidigbo were also distributed at no cost.

The ministry has worked with celebrated Nigerian gospel artists like Timi Orekoya, former president of the Gospel Musicians Association of Nigeria. Reflecting on the journey, Evangelist Aanuyimika gave all glory to God, stating, “It has been God for all our achievements. Without Him, we can’t do anything.”

He also expressed gratitude to his wife, who has supported him despite their age difference, his committee members, and the Gospel Film International Ministry (USA Committee).

Beyond filmmaking, Cornerstone runs a charity mission school, the *Cornerstone Charity Mission School*, admitting students from creche, nursery, primary, and high school levels. Evangelist Aanuyimika highlighted their ongoing commitment, saying, “We are still admitting students across different classes.”

However, he called for financial support from individuals or the government to help the ministry carry out its various projects.

For all these accomplishments, Evangelist Aanuyimika remains thankful to God, with eyes set on continuing Cornerstone’s impactful work for years to come.
