In a historic demonstration of unity and interfaith harmony, leading Christian and Muslim communities across the United Kingdom have endorsed the gubernatorial ambition of Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK) — a distinguished educationist, philanthropist, and frontline aspirant for the 2027 Oyo State Governorship Election under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
These endorsements reflect the deepening trust and confidence of Nigerians in the diaspora in Dr. Kareem’s inclusive leadership philosophy, moral integrity, and unwavering commitment to service and social transformation.
Christian Community Endorsement
The Christian community’s endorsement took place on Sunday, 12th October 2025, at the RCCG Revival Christian Church of Enfield, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Dr. Nick Chanda and Dr. Mulenga Chanda.
During the service, Dr. Kareem addressed the congregation, sharing his journey of impact and his vision for a more equitable, inclusive, and progressive Oyo State. He emphasized that his aspiration to govern is not motivated by personal ambition, but by conviction and purpose.
“Before now, I have been privileged to contribute to the development of Oyo State and Nigeria through several initiatives — from founding Boiling Point International Schools and Attaofeequ Billahi International School to establishing AB Farm and other ventures that promote education, food security, and economic empowerment.
Through these efforts, I have invested in youth development, job creation, and sustainable livelihoods. My philanthropy is not a campaign tool; it is a lifelong commitment. I have supported schools, awarded scholarships, and assisted institutions and individuals in need — not for publicity, but because I believe in lifting others up.
These acts of service have shaped my worldview and sense of duty. I am driven by a genuine desire to see Oyo State flourish — not for a privileged few, but for all our people: the youth, the elderly, and every hardworking dreamer who believes in a better tomorrow.”
Dr. Kareem also highlighted his recognition by the League of Imams and Alfas of Oyo State, which honoured him with the chieftaincy title “Fakhar Soliheen of Oyo State” (The Pride of the Righteous) — an honour he described as a sacred trust and a moral charge to uphold righteousness and justice in leadership.
“I am not running out of ambition for power or position,” he said. “My intention is guided by faith and conviction — that Oyo State can rise to become a model of progress, justice, and shared prosperity for all.”
The church leadership commended Dr. Kareem’s humility, focus, and visible achievements in education, youth empowerment, and philanthropy. Members of the congregation purchased copies of his newly launched book, Our Realistic Tomorrow, and took photographs with him, expressing their enthusiasm and support for his vision for Oyo State.
Muslim Community Endorsements
Earlier, on Friday, 10th October 2025, the Ummatul Islamiya United Kingdom, under the leadership of Sheikh Quadri Al-Wajud, offered their endorsement and prayers for Dr. Kareem’s gubernatorial success during a special congregational session at their mosque in Old Kent Road, London.
Similarly, on Sunday, 5th October 2025, leading Muslim groups in the United Kingdom — including the Assalatur-Rahman Islamic Association of the UK, the Dhiyaaul-Haq Islamic Society, and several Nigerian community prayer circles — also declared their support for Dr. Kareem at an interfaith engagement event.
The Muslim leaders praised Dr. Kareem’s bridge-building leadership style, humility, and record of service, describing him as a man committed to justice, inclusion, and transparent governance. They offered special prayers for divine wisdom and success in his political journey.
