In a heartfelt Christmas message, Nigerian humanitarian and politician, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has extended warm felicitations to Christians while urging them to continue fervent prayers for the nation. Speaking from the United Kingdom, where he has been for the past five days, Ambassador Ajadi emphasized the need for compassion and responsible governance to alleviate the hardships faced by the masses.
Ambassador Ajadi called on the Nigerian government to prioritize fixing the economy as a means of improving the quality of life for the citizens. Drawing inspiration from the compassionate nature of Jesus Christ, whose birth is celebrated during Christmas, he challenged public office holders to emulate Christ’s commitment to making life better for people.
“The Christmas season is a reminder to those in positions of authority to seek ways to improve the lives of the people, just as Jesus Christ did during his time on earth,” remarked Ambassador Ajadi.
Expressing concern about the prevailing suffering among Nigerians despite abundant resources, he urged the government to prioritize the welfare of the masses and alleviate their challenges. He particularly called on public office holders to execute their duties with compassion, keeping the well-being of the people in mind.
“I appeal to the masses themselves not to relent from prayer. I am optimistic that God will one day answer our prayers and enable good, compassionate politicians to come to the forefront of leadership,” he added.
Ambassador Ajadi reiterated the abundance of blessings bestowed upon Nigeria by God and stressed the importance of leaders emulating the compassionate examples set by Jesus. He also called on those who are well-to-do in society to demonstrate goodwill by reaching out to others during the Christmas season.
In his concluding remarks, Ambassador Ajadi prayed for continued blessings on the nation and expressed hope for leaders who would bring happiness and joy to its people. His message serves as a poignant call for compassion, prayer, and positive action to uplift the nation during these challenging times.
