Come this Friday, the rocky and ancient city of Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State will go agog as successful sports administrator, politician, and social advocate Hon Bukola Olopade will be installed as the Osi Asoju Oba of Egbaland, while his lovely wife Yetunde will become the Erelu Osi Asoju Oba of Egbaland by the paramount ruler of Egbaland by no other person than the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo (CFR) Okunkenu IV at the palace of the monarch in Ake, Abeokuta from 10 am.
Hon Olopade popularly known as “Ozogula” by his teeming friends and associates, is well noted for throwing top-notch parties and events and is the brain behind the top-rated Access Bank-sponsored Lagos City marathon, Abeokuta marathon 10km race, and the Remo ultra-race. Before venturing into sports administration and marketing, Olopade was the Ogun state commissioner for youths and sports under the administration of Otunba Gbenga Daniel and is a name in the nation’s sports circle.
