One of the American based Yoruba actresses making waves in Nollywood, Oyinkansola Emmanuel, who once said in an interview that she can’t marry African Richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has revealed to us the sacrifice she put in place before her new healthcare business, DAVMOS HEALTHCARE SERVICES LLC could get a license of operation in the state of Maryland by the government of the United States of America.
The Ilesha, Osun State-born mother of two revealed this to Gbolahan Adetayo, who had an exclusive interview with her from her base in America.
In February 14th 2022, which was her birthday, the government of America officially gave her the license to run the business which she has been dreaming about for the past 10 years. Oyinkansola also spoke about her next moves in Nollywood among other interesting issues you can’t afford to miss about her. Enjoy the excerpts:
What’s new about Oyinkansola Emmanuel?
Nothing much my brother, but one thing I can’t forget is the fact that I recently got my company’s full license. It’s an healthcare service agency named after my boys.
Can you talk more about it?
Yes of course! The name of the company is DAVMOS HEALTHCARE SERVICES LLC named after my boys David & Moses. I registered the company in October 2019 but I had to travel to Nigeria for sometimes. I came back last year 2021 and I continued where I stopped. It’s a Residential Service Agency Level3 for Adults and Pediatrics. The first license was issued for the month of August to November 2021 whereby one have to market for three patients and a scheduled survey will be carried out by the office of healthcare quality which was done. Luckily for me, I received my full license on my birthday February 14th. Our service is to take care of patients both Adults and Pediatrics at the comfort of their homes, which means we are to recruit Nurses for same purposes.We are looking for dedicated, trustworthy, kind and nice Nurses from CNA, LPN & RN to take care of these wonderful patients. How long have you been dreaming about this company?
Wow, that’s a great question. I have been dreaming about this company years ago even before I started having my children. I am a member of Winnerschapel Living Faith, and there was a day we had a program, we were asked to write out what we needed. I could remember the only two things I wrote were my own healthcare company and my own marriage. It was over 10years ago but I still believe it will come to pass. All glory to God almighty making it possible for me today.
Did you go to school to study the course or you have by any chance worked in any hospital before you established yours?
I had background knowledge in Nursing which I did between 2008/2009 here in America and I have worked in many homes, Nursing homes, Hospital etc. The funniest part is that you don’t have to be a Nurse before you can establish one. But to me it’s better to have the knowledge and experience about a business you intend to embark on.
Since you started, how has it been?
It is in process and we thank God for all. After the license, one still needs some authorizations which without it will be difficult to operate. You know it has to do with taking care of people in their homes. As a provider, you have to be sure you are sending good people, crime free person to your clients. It entails a lot.
How do you combine this business with your masters degree class?
It’s not easy but God has been great. I am doing my masters in IT- Project Management, which is different from my background. But sincerely, I am learning everyday.
Which school are you doing this?
I am at the moment doing the masters degree at the University of Maryland Global Campus. That’s the same school I had another degree in Marketing (Bachelors), i graduated in December 2020.
In ten years to come, where do you intend to see this company?
In ten years to come I want to take DavMos higher by building an empire, diverting into different business opportunities.
After Arike Alagbo the movie, are you presently working on another movie?
Yes o! I have many movies to churn out from my stable and I will be working with people on high standard, who shares the same positive energy like mine. Negativity is not my portion, and wishing everyone all the best is my motto.
