Old School Palm Wine & Lover’s Day Set to Light Up Abeokuta

 

Abeokuta is set to experience a colourful blend of culture, nostalgia, and romance as Shaléwá Òlógurò presents “Old School Palm Wine & Lover’s Day,” a unique lifestyle and entertainment event scheduled for Sunday, February 15, 2026.

The event will take place at Kenlard Gardens, located at 16, Oba Karunmi Street, behind Senator Amosun House, Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta, Ogun State, and will run from 12 noon to 5:00pm (African Time).

Designed to celebrate love while reviving the rich flavours of old-school African leisure, the event promises an exciting lineup of activities. Guests will be treated to palm wine tastingcomedy performancesold-school gamesgift exchangecultural displays, and energetic dance troupe performances. There will also be a wide variety of local snacksfooddrinks, and pepper soup, adding to the traditional atmosphere.

Organisers have announced that the dress code is strictly “Old School,” encouraging attendees to showcase classic outfits from bygone eras. To add a competitive edge, prizes will be awarded for the Best Dressed Old School Outfit (Male and Female).
