Traditional Ruler, Kadiri Kudaisi Denies Being Detained By Ogun Taskforce Over Alleged Land grabbing 

 

 

 

An Abeokuta based traditional ruler, Baale of Kudaisi Idiya, Wale Kadiri Kudaisi has denied being detained by the Ogun State Task Force on Anti-Land Grabbing and Illegalities over allegations of land grabbing, unlawful encroachment, and malicious destruction of property.

 

It was reported in the media on Sunday October 26, 2025 that the traditional ruler who was said to be at centre of

multiple petitions involving land disputes in different communities of Abeokuta North Local Government Area, was taken into custody alongside one of his subordinates on Thursday, October 23, 2025, following a directive of the Commandant of the Task Force

 

But Baale of Kudaisi Idiya addressing newsmen at his home, claimed that he was never detained by any taskforce, saying he was surprised to hear the report in the media that he was detained which is not true

 

“I have been at home and was never detained by the Ogun State Task Force on Anti- Land grabbing as reported in the media”, he stated

 

 

The traditional ruler said he had been trying to resolve issues involving land grabbers

 

He however reserved further comments on the matter now before the court
