Olawale Aganga Williams Foundation Boosts Water Access with Borehole Rehabilitation in Ilogbo Oto-Awori LCDA

In a significant effort to improve access to clean water, the Hon. Olawale Aganga Williams Foundation has rehabilitated an industrial borehole on Shina Adeyemi Street, Tope Bus Stop, in Ilogbo Oto-Awori LCDA. The borehole, which will serve hundreds of residents, was officially commissioned on Saturday, November 9th, by HRM Chief Tajudeen Alani Amusa, the Baale of Ilogbo Elegba.

In his remarks, Chief Amusa commended the foundation’s initiative, emphasizing the importance of community care and sustainable development. “I urge the residents of Ilogbo to maintain this facility and appreciate the value it brings to our community,” he said. Chief Amusa also called on community leaders to emulate the foundation’s commitment, stressing that actions like these enhance local well-being and foster unity.

During the event, Mrs. Jennifer Charles, Managing Director of the Olawale Aganga Williams Foundation, provided further insight into the foundation’s mission and achievements. She highlighted the foundation’s dedication to transforming lives through targeted programs that address both immediate needs and long-term support.

“Our foundation has touched countless lives,” Mrs. Charles noted. “We have helped cover medical bills for those in need, provided financial support to women in business, and given monthly stipends to widows and the elderly. We have also awarded numerous scholarships, distributed over 1,000 wheelchairs and crutches, and provided learning materials for students. Our focus is on creating a positive, lasting impact in every way we can.”

She added that the foundation is dedicated to expanding its efforts and looks forward to reaching more communities. “There is still so much we aim to do. We’re committed to finding innovative ways to meet the needs of the people, and we hope others will join us in this journey to uplift communities,” she concluded.

The Olawale Aganga Williams Foundation has built a strong reputation for its philanthropic work across health, education, and economic empowerment, consistently offering support to underprivileged groups. The recent borehole rehabilitation reflects its ongoing commitment to enhancing living standards for communities in Lagos State.
