The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate for Abeokuta North Local Government in the upcoming November 16th local government polls in Ogun State, Hon. Olanrewanju Oyegbola Sodipo, has pledged that his administration will collaborate with international organizations to drive growth and development in the area.

In an interview with journalists in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, Hon. Oyegbola Sodipo outlined his plans if elected as Chairman. He emphasized the importance of working with global development partners, such as United Nations programs, to advance Abeokuta North.

The Chairmanship candidate also shared plans to reach out to prominent personalities from Abeokuta North, both within Nigeria and abroad, encouraging them to support various development initiatives to provide sustainable dividends of democracy to the people.

He explained that his motivation for contesting the Chairmanship was rooted in his commitment to improving the welfare and overall progress of Abeokuta North Local Government. He stressed that the needs of the elderly, aged, and pensioners would be a top priority, with quality health schemes in place to benefit this group.

In addition, Hon. Oyegbola Sodipo stated that his administration would focus on maternal health programs for pregnant women, as well as initiatives for empowering small business owners, artisans, and youth through skill acquisition and financial support.

“Our Local Government is agrarian, with ample arable land. We’ll engage our youth in agricultural projects that will yield bountiful harvests, enabling us to provide food for ourselves and the state,” he noted.

He affirmed his commitment to the “ISEYA” mantra of Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, promising to adopt it fully as a guide for his administration.

On fulfilling campaign promises, Oyegbola Sodipo highlighted that the Local Government Autonomy initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and endorsed by the Supreme Court will empower local governments to perform optimally. With the support of the Prince Abiodun-led administration, he assured the people that his administration would achieve remarkable progress within its first 100 days in office.
