When the Anjou’s celebrate their Father- By Murphy Ajibade Alabi

The friends, relations, and families of Joseph Albert Agboola Anjou on Saturday October 12th, 2024 at Pleasant Event Centre, Ikeja Lagos proved that it’s not ONLY the living that is worth celebrating but also those that are resting in the bosom of God deserves to be celebrated

The children, the grandchildren were all unison and in love as they celebrate their father who passed on last year

The first year thanksgiving and remembrance event which was well packaged, was witnessed by the ceo of Overall Effizee Events (a unique event management and hospitality services outfit) had many important personalities in attendance especially Mayflower graduants students who came in their large numbers to celebrate one of their own

” we are not here to mourn. We are here to celebrate one of our own, Joseph Albert Agboola Anjou who departed this world last year” says the husband to the first born and daughter of the deceased, Mr Kenneth Itua

And collaborating with her husband Mrs Itua Faith the first born of the family stated that the gathering was not to mourn her father neither to invoke a bad memory but rather to celebrate a father, a grandfather, an uncle, a brother and a friend

” As you can see it yourself, the gathering here is not of that mourning but of celebration of life. We all gathered here to celebrate his life , to celebrate his achievement, to rekindle his good old days while he was alive. It’s a year pass since he died but to us we are feeling as if he is with us.
My father was a beautiful father, he was so nice to everyone. A man that can give you his eyes.
My father was full of knowledge and that’s one thing I missed about him. I didn’t tapped from that his wisdom of knowledge. I should have done that but I kept on saying later , later not knowing that this would soon happen. I mean his demise ”

Mrs Faith Itua, nee Anjou however has a consolation in the fact that her husband took traces of her late father.

” My husband is just like my late father he always gives a wise advice.”

She also acknowledged the presence of her friends who came to rejoice with her

” I can’t thank them all enough. Most of them we all finished together at Mayflowers School Ikene , Ogun State. The historical part of this Mayflower school is that both my father, my mother and all my siblings finished from this great school ”

The event was full of trills and fills mixed with paparazzi as all guests were treated to their satisfaction.
