Chinese Govt May Sanction Nigerian Blogger, George Chijioke, for Defaming Apostle Suleman

A self-acclaimed blogger, George Chijioke, may have landed himself in big trouble over numerous posts he made on his social media handle defaming popular man of God, Apostle Johnson Suleman. In over 160 episodes of the slandering videos made by George Chijioke on his YouTube platform, ‘Real George’, awful defamatory claims are made against the person of Apostle Suleman, his church, Omega Fire Ministry (OFM) and his family.

George is said to be operating his blog from China and, inside sources have revealed to this medium that Apostle Suleman’s legal counsel was already taking steps to consult the Chinese authorities about the development. In mid-2023, China made a push to embargo cyberbullying and internet violence with punishments ranging from five-year imprisonment or 250,000 US Dollars fine. Sources said, when the report is made by Apostle Suleman’s lawyer, Samuel Ihensekhien, George may be questioned by the Chinese authorities for using its cyberspace to slander the man of God with falsehoods.

In the court documents, the petitioner (Apostle Suleman’s lawyer) stated that; the defendant (George Chijioke) has posted about 160 libelous posts that had caused untold pain to his client, family members, church members and friends who are active on social media.

Meanwhile, Apostle Suleman has already filed a libel suit at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory against George Chijioke in which he is demanding the sum of one billion naira in compensation for damages caused him by the slanderous posts.

Although, George was said to have cleverly deleted some of the offending posts, sources disclosed that Apostle Suleman’s lawyer had smartly copied some of them, which he intends to tender before the court when trial begins.
