In a touching initiative by MAAM’S Helping Hands (MHH), the MAAM’S Project, spearheaded by Theater Arts and Motion Picture Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) UK President Doyin Amodu, seeks to honor and empower elderly Nollywood filmmakers who have devoted their lives to the Nigerian film industry.
Recognizing the invaluable contributions of these veterans to the entertainment sector, the MAAM’S Project aims to alleviate the financial hardships many of them face in their twilight years. Doyin Amodu, a charismatic woman with a heart of gold, has taken a step further by producing a movie titled “Ojo Ale” (Twilight) specifically for veterans in the Yoruba movie industry.
The much-anticipated film, featuring a stellar cast of industry veterans, including Tunbosi Odunsi, Ebun Oloyede, Charles Olumo, Samson Folarin, Ayo Ogunsina, Bashiru Ishola, Jide Kosoko, Adebayo Salami, Felicia Osunponle, Bimbo Gboye, Tunde Bamgbode, Foluke Daramola Salako, Sola Kosoko Abina, Ojopagogo, Isiaka Towose, Ade Ajiboye, Toyosi Adesanya, and more, is set to premiere today, Saturday, January 27, 2024, at VIVA CINEMA, JARA SHOPPING MALL, IKEJA, Lagos, starting at 3 pm.
