Superintendent Ayeni Olasunkanmi, an illustrious son of Erukucity, has been recently promoted to a higher rank in the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). Ayeni is known for his intelligence, resourcefulness, and a seamless blend of intellect and service. He has established himself as a veritable role model through his achievements and character.
Ayeni is a man of strong faith and resilience. Despite facing personal challenges, he remains optimistic and turns to God for guidance. He is a problem solver and often finds lasting solutions to the problems of others. His dedication to service and his ability to uplift those around him make him a respected figure in his community.
Ayeni’s educational journey reflects his determination and pursuit of excellence. After completing his secondary education, he patiently waited to gain admission into a reputable university or polytechnic. Eventually, with the support of his family and friends, he enrolled at Kwara State Polytechnic, where he earned his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy. He furthered his education by pursuing Post Graduate programs, including a PGD, MBA, and ANIPR.
In a chance encounter in Lagos, Ayeni, who was actively seeking employment at the time, shared words of encouragement with a friend named Seun. He emphasized the importance of patience and seeking God’s guidance, reminding Seun that everyone has their own unique journey to success. Ayeni’s advice has stayed with Seun ever since.
Ayeni was born into the Ayeni family of Odoole clan, Odolomun, Eruku, Ekiti LGA, Kwara State. He attended Cooperative Primary School and Eruku Commercial Secondary School for his early education. Throughout his career in the NSCDC, Ayeni has served in various departments and units, including the training department, SERVICOM unit, and the National Housing Fund unit. Currently, he serves as the Public Relations Officer for the Kwara State Command.
Ayeni has received extensive training during his tenure in the NSCDC, including mandatory paramilitary training, weapons and arms handling training at the Nigerian Army 222 Battalion, and training on conducting violence-free elections. He has also been actively involved in student leadership, having served as the President of the National Association of Eruku Students and the Speaker of the Ekiti LGA Students Ruling Council.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Ayeni is a certified associate of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR). He is passionate about gospel music and is involved as a director, composer, and songwriter. During his leisure time, Ayeni enjoys playing table tennis and engaging in discussions about community development and politics. He is happily married to Christiana Olanike Ayeni.
